Elco’s EP-9.9 utilizes the same outboard chassis as the EP-5, so it’s 20 percent lighter than similar gas outboards, which makes this motor easy to handle on or off the boat. 48-volt operation optimizes performance and efficiency, making the EP-9.9 a great choice for jon boats or pontoon boats on small lakes, particularly when lake restrictions prohibit larger motors. It also provides plenty of power for sailboats up to about 25 feet and 2,500 pounds. Remote or tiller control and long or short shaft lengths accommodate most boats. NMEA 2000 and Elco’s DASH app seamlessly connect to navigation displays as well as wireless and wearable screens.
